Are you a professional artist with a recent refugee past? If so, Galatea can support you in cultural-artistic integration and expanding your career prospects. We organize various exhibitions and events.
Galatea Art Prize
Galatea Art Prize is an art prize organised by the Galatea Foundation in collaboration with the Dordrechts Museum. The prize was created to help artists with a recent refugee past* get on their way within the Dutch art world.
An open call is put out every other year, after which a jury selects a few artists. These artists will be given a place in a collaborative exhibition. Halfway through the exhibition, a winner will be chosen. The winner will receive a medal and a sum of €2,500 to support further creative development in the Netherlands. A favorite will also be chosen by the public. The winner of the audience award will receive an honorable mention in the hall.
