For Mouafk, "art" means freedom and it encourages dreaming. "Persons in my paintings are suffering, but they also have desires and dreams of a better present and future.
The tragedy of war and the loss of freedom, both social and political, makes people prisoners.
The colour in my artworks reflects their longing for human values and their struggle against darkness and despair. It symbolises hope, happiness and boundless dreams."
