Dear Ombudsman of the European Union,

This is a letter from Galatea Foundation - Sofia, Bulgaria.

We would like to inform you for some facts that we think are disturbing.
There is a specific situation in our country in which we are involved and take part in.
We are a team of parents, professional psychologists, child careers, teachers, students and famous Bulgarians that stand behind us; also The Peace Corp and other organizations and people. We are all volunteers that made a non-governmental foundation to help children in need. We even made a call for proposal for one of the projects of the EU because we have ideas - how to help. We have made a program that is good for our schools, for students 13-19 years old, and showed its effect on students - it works now 2 years. We are working with 145 schools on the territory of Bulgaria. The Ministry of Education agreed to have this project at school because it reduces the aggression at school; all Regional Educational Centers of the towns also did; the directors of the school did.
We are sending you some attached letters which are:

• student book in Bulgarian;

• a part of the translation in English;

• statements;

• information about us and our program;

• a specific statement of the Foundation of the psychologists in Bulgaria;

We wouldn't do that and we wouldn't bother you but we can't let everything go away because of the Foundation of the psychologists in Bulgaria.

They criticize us and try to fail the program. They did everything they could to turn the project down. Unfortunately, this is a society that can't accept new ideas. These people that stand against us are educated by the socialism and do not want our children to have a good life - they only want to turn things down so they can sell their own ides by getting famous. Their statement makes of us „religious people that can harm the children"; " make a religion the belief in yourself";" are not professionals"; " manipulate all directors of the schools, all teachers, all media".
Bulgarian Ministry of Education keeps silence.
We are sorry to say that but the country is not able to make a statement about all this and leaves us to fight over the TV programs, the radio programs and so on.
We only want to make a better place for our children and a better environment at school.
We don't want to fight anymore and at the same time we can't hide and stop caring about our children.
We believe in good and humanity.
We believe in better future for our children.
We believe in peace. We believe in honesty. We believe in happiness.

We just want all the truth to come out and to see who stands against a good cause.
We will appreciate your help! We are trying to understand what is going on!
